Restaurants and Pubs near Ty Gwilym Holiday Cottages, St Davids

There are wide variety of pubs and restaurants in St Davids and the local area.... all within easy reach.

The choice varies from local pubs within a few minutes walk of our cottages serving great food to a five course six course tasting menu at The Wild Food Emporium.... and from a 5* star hotel in St Davids to a brilliant fish and chip bistro in Porthgain.

Or alternatively, have supper in our garden and watch the sunset over the Cathedral!

The view from the garden includes The Cathedral Bell Tower (Porth y Twr), which is part of the 13th century gateway. The ten bells were hung in the 1930s and were funded by an anonymous donor, who not only paid for the bells... but also for the restoration and strengthening of the building.

The original bells were hung in the Cathedral, but had to be removed in the mid-18th century because the Tower was in danger of collapsing. There is now only one bell left, which is shown in the Tower Gate.

The bells are rung every Wednesday between 7.45 and 9.00pm.
