The Mill House Cafe and Restaurant in St Davids is just a few minutes walk from Ty Gwilym Holiday Cottages and is situated at 9, New Street, just 100 yards past TYF on the left. It serves coffees and lunches, but in 2024, they decided to make a great change and open a restaurant at weekends.... on Fridays and Saturdays. This has proved really popular and been a huge success. Now they're contemplating opening on more days in the week. So do make a visit to The Mill Cafe and enjoy the whole experience, especially in the evening!
We have been visiting Whitesand Bay for over 30 years and are always very reassured by the presence of the surf rescue team, which has all the equipment required to keep all the bathers and surfers safe every day.
They highlight the safe areas to swim and surf and are continually watching out for people in difficulty.
Some days there are hundreds of visitors on the beach and it’s a really hard and skilled job to identify those is trouble; however, they are highly trained and know the signs to watch out for.
Whitesand Bay, near St Davids, is one of the best beaches in Wales, making it a great place for beach holidays.
